My name is Devin, and to put things in simple terms, I love the outdoors, and I love sharing my passion for the outdoors with others. My goal here is to help others feel inspired to get outside and enjoy what being outside does for the mind and body.

I come from a background of growing up camping as a family. My dad taught me how to fish as a young boy. Those family camping trips and time spent on the river as a young boy cultivated my love for spending time outside. Now I am fortunate enough to make the outdoor industry my career.

I graduated with a degree in Outdoor Recreation Management from Utah Valley University in 2017, and have worked professionally in the outdoor industry for 20+ years. Previous work has included managing an indoor climbing gym in Salt Lake City, and most recently as the General Manager for Waymark Gear Co. I also am fortunate to teach Intro To backpacking classes at Utah Valley University where I am able to introduce quality outdoor experiences to students who may not have had the opportunity otherwise.

In the summer of 2023 I decided to take my side passion of content creation for YouTube and make it my full time job. My focus is creating educational videos and gear reviews on camping and backpacking.
